Lace Panel Shawl & Scarf

Shaped shawl or scarf featuring a lace center panel and narrow “feather & fan” lace edging. Knit from the outer edge to neck with attached, knitted cord top border.

Blocked Measurements:  Shawl: 16½“ deep and 60” along the top edge.  Scarf: 9“ deep and 32“ along the top.Size will vary with yarn used and can easily be adjusted.

Needles: 40” circular in US size 2, or size to obtain gauge. You may switch to a short circular as the shawl gets smaller.

Blocked Gauge: 28 sts = 4” (10cm) in stockinette.

Yarn Requirements: Choose either lace or fingering (4ply yarn).
Yardage required when knit to gauge: Shawl: 680 yards; Scarf: 280 yards.

Green Shawl: Dawn lace weight (50% silk, 50% wool) – 4 skeins.
Purple Scarf: Dawn lace weight – 2 skeins.
Multicolored Shawl:Trekking Pro Natura sock yarn from Skacel – 2 skeins.

Note: Working at a looser gauge will require more yardage and result in a larger finished size.
